The New Windsor Fire Department serves an area of approximately 5.2 square miles in the northeastern part of New Windsor, NY. The area is largely residential in character, and commercial development has taken place recently along the southerly and westerly borders. Bulk storage facilities containing over one million gallons of highly flammable liquids reside from the Newburgh city line at the north all the way to the Cornwall town line at the south. Because the New Windsor fire district is located in the area of the original Town of New Windsor, residential construction is minimal at most.

We proudly provide services in fire suppression, rescue, fire prevention, hazardous materials, public education and disaster mitigation.

The members of the New Windsor Fire Department are courteous and professional. We take pride in delivering fine service, utilizing extensive training skills to serve residents, business partners and visitors. We respond to approximately 250 calls annually.

The New Windsor Fire Department is 100% volunteer, and we are always looking for new members. Joining the New Windsor Fire Department will give you an opportunity to make a difference in your community.
